Deni Sher, 55, came alone from Weston, Florida, and can’t wait to return: “Every woman needs a safe harbor to drop her bombshells, a place where ears listen, hearts respond and growth can begin. Camp Bombshell is that place."
Shelley Brennan and Margaret Ackerly, both computer programmers in their forties, left their husbands and kids behind in an ice storm in New Hampshire. “We didn’t want to just go sit on a beach…we read about this, decided it felt right and booked the trip…we had no idea what we were getting into, but we had a great time. We think the Miami Bombshells should give up their ‘other’ careers and do more camps like this to inspire women.”
“This was one of the best weekends I have ever had. It was so reinvigorating and exhilarating plus about 4000 other verbs to describe the experience. I was on such a high that on Monday at work, my employees asked me to come down to earth that it is tax season and that I need to get work done. I have not stopped talking about the weekend. Thank you all for an amazing time and I will definitely be at the next camp. (along with about 30 of my girlfriends)”

“I want to thank you so much for all that you have done for this whole camp thing and for the best time me and all my fashionistas in my group had. I will never forget my 40th birthday and all my friends are so happy I made them come to celebrate with me and live in bunks. There was a lot of laughter when they saw the living arrangements but they all managed to fit right in....The experience for me and my girls will never be forgotten and now back home we have a special camp bond that no one will ever know. Thanks again making my birthday so memorable. Still today Thursday I’m having a hard time getting back into my routine, I’m still out there somewhere. Well miss you all and hope to see you soon.”

“Wow! What a gift. Once again camp was the place I needed to be, and being there with all of my bombshell sisters made it so great. There is no way to compare the Pocono experience with this one, each was beautiful in its own way, and very different because of the mix, but what was the same was how terrific it is for me to be with smart, interesting, and brave women. Thank you to the head bombshells, you are doing a mitzvah (good deed) for all who partake. I hope you can get it together again, hopefully in the northeast!! Your hard work and dedication are inspiring. I feel renewed, and I hope it will last til we meet again. The best times of my childhood and teen years were at camp, I will be a camper forever, thanks for giving me the chance to be at camp again, even if its just for a weekend!
Lots of xoxoxoxo”

“This is such a great concept...sleep away for adults...it was a chance in a lifetime. I get more and more excited about it the more people that I tell. All our friends wanted to know how it went. From the choice of song that woke us up in the morning on the loudspeaker, to the bottled water that was always available, the activities were great and offered at the appropriate times. The site was gorgeous, the lake, etc. Meeting people and in 48 hours becoming "friends" was great...you bombshells thought of everything...the guitar player, the camp director David. You gave me the opportunity of a lifetime!!! Thank you!!!”
