Looking for women who can use a weekend away to relax, recharge and reconnect with girlfriends!
January 5, 2006 - The Miami Bombshells, authors of "Dish & Tell: Life, Love and Secrets" (Entre Nosotras - in Spanish), are searching high and low for women who are willing to put themselves at the top of their 'To Do' list (at least for a weekend) and join them at Camp Bombshell, March 3-5th, at the Orange Springs Resort near Ocala, Florida. It's a long weekend of hilarious fun and female bonding, where women are encouraged to leave the men, the make-up, the kids and the stress behind and take some time for themselves.

"At Camp Bombshell, it's all about YOU (for a change)", says the Miami Bombshells as they call on women to come alone, make new friends, or bring their girlfriends from home. Seventy-five women, ranging in age from 23-70, joined the Miami Bombshells at the first Camp which took place in the Pocono Mountains in September of 2005. "Being there was a life-affirming experience for me," said Isabelle Mosca, 44, of Ventnor, New Jersey. "It was just what I needed," said Sherry Savad, 38, from New York City, "to reconnect with me; to have fun; to be loved and nurtured by so many wonderful women."

Camp Bombshell includes:
  • Archery
  • Canoeing
  • Kickball
  • Campfire songs
  • S'mores
  • Yoga
  • Obstacle course
  • Bombshell Circles - a place where women can be themselves. Because the Miami Bombshells have learned that women are all alike, no matter where they live or who we are
  • And an unlimited supply of Mad Housewife wine (www.rainierwine.com) and chocolate
More and more, women are choosing to get away by themselves or with girlfriends. A study by LA-based Impulse Research showed that nearly 50% of women have taken an all-female trip in the past three years and 88% intend to go again or would like to go on one. Camp Bombshell proves that while women want to have new experiences, they also want to connect with other women.

Dish and Tell: Life, Love and Secrets (William Morrow/HarperCollins Publishers), is a collection of true, provocative stories about life and the struggle to juggle, that affirms there is comfort in numbers. "We've recognized we're not perfect, and we're pretty sure we're not alone. Being a Bombshell is about being courageous, not curvaceous. Love yourself and put yourself first."

The Miami Bombshells appeared on NBC's Today Show, EXTRA, in The New York Times, International Herald Tribune, and many other publications in the US and abroad. For more information visit www.miamibombshells.com.
