| We are women just like you, only we're willing to hang out our dirty laundry on this literary clothesline, hoping you can see just how much our species is alike, no matter how different we may appear on the outside. |

It began with monthly meetings at each-others' homes to whine and wine. We would meet, gorge on the obligatory chocolate, drink the required vino, kick off the power pumps and start talking. Those sessions became the seeds for this concept, and our book.
None of us knew each other at first, but we shared one common denominator: a deep-seated love for our friend Pat. We trusted her enough that when she asked us to join this "woman's group", we cleared our calendars and did it with open minds. We took our time to get to know each other, but eventually, we began to share our intimate secrets and hidden taboos, and listened without judgment. It was a process we grew into slowly and carefully; but when we finally took that gutsy plunge, it was incredibly cathartic.
We came clean about the challenges of our lives, balancing our high-powered jobs, insanely accelerated schedules and schizophrenic lives, and divulged our most telling romantic and sexual secrets. Inadvertently, we fell into this sisterhood and finally we realized we weren't alone.
We've lived through the ups and downs of womanhood just like you; from happy marriages to painful divorces, the joys of childbirth to burying our parents, from fighting depression and raging hormones, to making tough career choices, juggling daily life, and setting out on our own spiritual journeys. We've captured the full breadth of what it means to be a woman in the 21st century, and we are exhausted. But now we're exhausted together!
Which is why we started our camps...to bring women together. After we were overwhelmed with emails from people who watched us on the TODAY Show, we began to think about how we could share the magic we created in our own Bombshell Circle with a wider audience. We also wanted to give women a break, and take them back to a time when there was no responsibility and someone else took care of scheduling all the fun. was born! |
