| Mercedes Soler is currently enjoying life as a freelance columnist and radio commentator. After 18 years of working in Spanish TV news, interviewing over a dozen Latin American presidents, traveling the world and winning 5 Emmys, she traded in the all-consuming rat race to spend real time with her family, carpool, cook dinner regularly and help with the homework. Mercedes believes quality time is overrated and wants to own the way in which she travels her personal journey. She is a graduate of Loyola University in Chicago where she grew up after leaving Cuba at age 9. Mercedes is married to her one and only and together they are raising their two children with all the love in their hearts.
