| We are women just like you, only we're willing to hang out our dirty laundry on this literary clothesline, hoping you can see just how much our species is alike, no matter how different we may appear on the outside. |

| Lydia is a Senior Vice President, Mortgage Banking Executive who gets up at 5:00AM and is still going at midnight. Liky, as her friends call her, works too many hours and never knows when to shut the job off. With a cell phone and Blackberry attached at all times,Lydia's family has had to settle for take-out or delivery since there is no time left in "Mom's" schedule to make dinner. With little time to cook (Lydia's favorite hobby), or spend much time with the family, Lydia works daily on overcoming her guilt of being an almost absentee mother. In spite of her lack of time, Lydia is also active in several local non-profit agencies. Lydia emigrated from Cuba with her family when she was four, and is now a wife, mother and the only Abuela (Grandma!) in the group.
